EUR 35000 to 55000

Territory: In and around Dublin but could be asked to get anywhere in ROI
Location: Located in Dublin or up to 1hr away

The Field Service Engineer provides engineering support with the installation, maintenance and ongoing service of the clients range of medical equipment in accordance with field procedures. The post requires a high level of technical skill combined with the ability to liaise with our valued customers.

Equipment includes Digital X-Ray for General Radiology, Fluoroscopy, Ultrasound, Dexa, Dental, and Veterinary systems.

  • Mon-Fri - 39hrs per week plus 5hrs travel time (1hr each day) overtime kicks in after 44hrs.
  • Overtime - Mon-Fri at time, weekend x1.5. (minimal)
  • On call - 200EUR/week standby and paid overtime for call outs. 1 in 7 weeks.
  • Choice of comp car, van or allowance
  • 35kEUR - straight out of uni graduate. 55kEUR - radiology engineer.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Reports to the Technical Service Manager with strong technical ability to form a key link in the service team.
* Provides service, repair, installation, and maintenance of clients range of systems.
* Ability to work under their own initiative with advanced fault-finding techniques.
* Liaise with customers via phone support or remote support.
* Provides a quality service to customers with first time fix as a priority.
* Demonstrates commitment to customer satisfaction and exceeding customer's expectations.
* Monitors and drives equipment performance, highlighting problem equipment and finding solutions.
* Report possible sales opportunities to the sales department.
* Ability to respond to emergency breakdown situations.
* Provides service support and guidance to customers on install base and builds strong, professional customer relationships.
* Feedback service and customer information to the service department.
* Required to participate in customer out-of-hours support through remote or on-site support.
* Willing to travel/stay overnight to meet business need both in Ireland & abroad.


PREFERRED SKILLS:

* Knowledge and understanding of digital x-ray equipment and other medical devices (or similar electornic bias equipment.
* Installation of PC hardware and associated software.
* Knowledge of Windows 7 and Windows 10 operating systems.
* Networking/platform protocols. "IT Network infrastructure".
* Understanding of DICOM protocols.
* Educated to HND or degree level desirable but not essential.
