A third party service engineering company specialising in high end, state of the art medical diagnostic and laboratory instrumentation.

The role - Field Service Engineer - Laboratory Diagnostics - West Midlands

As a Field Service Engineer, you would be responsible for the repair, maintenance and servicing of electronically biased, electro-mechanical laboratory equipment and medical devices used within the life science fields e.g. Haematology, Biochemistry, Genetics, Microbiology, Biochemistry etc. This role will involve intensive product training and will consistently offer new challenges and new technology to learn long term.

Being a field engineer, you will travel to a number of client sites within the West Midlands area. This equipment would be found within a diagnostic or research lab either in a range of clients including hospital, university research sites, the MOD, large pharmaceutical manufacturers etc.

+ Salary - £30,000 - £35,000 (experience dependent)

Experience/skills required - Field Service Engineer - Laboratory Diagnostics - West Midlands

+ Relevant engineering experience e.g. fault finding on motors, drives, circuit boards, competently use a multi-meter, read circuit diagrams etc.

+ Previous field-based experience - happy to travel and stay away as the role requires

+ Basic qualification in Electronic Engineering

+ Located in the Birmingham or surround areas

+ Full UK drivers licence
