Location: Can be based from Winchester, Daventry or Huddersfield

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Health and Safety Advisor to provide professional advice and support to a well known telecoms company that are keen to add to their team due to the ever expanding landscape.

Reporting to the Health, Safety and Environmental manager you will lead the provision of SHE support and advice to the operations side of the business, ensuring any issues requiring escalation are reported, undertake SHE tasks as required, attend business operations meeting ensuring that key issues are discussed and highlighted. You will provide training and undertake presentations to ensure that Health and Safety duties are understood and embedded within field engineers, driving a high standard of accident, incident and near miss investigations leading to lessons learnt. Along well helping 3rd party audits and customer audits other deliverables include:

+ Writh and implement procedures in line with the requirements of IS0 14001 / OHSAS 18001

+ Actively ensure the continual improvement of SHE performance

+ Undertake horizon scanning of new and revised SHE legislation, review and implement requirements

+ Undertake internal audits, inspections and supplier audits

+ Review and close out accident, incident and near miss reports.

As a Health and Safety Advisor you will have a NEBOSH Health and Safety Certificate and internal auditor qualification and be a member of IOSH/IEMA. Ideally you're also comfortable climbing masts and towers. With excellent knowledge of SHE legislation and specific practical experience of implementation of ISO 14001/18001, you have a proven ability to read and understand legal requirements and put them into practical guidance. IT-literate and with a full UK driving licence.
