An Assembly Technician is required to join a market leading company who design an array of complex, unique medical systems to work as part of a specialist team responsible for assembling and building these high value products. Role: Assembly Technician
As Assembly Technician you will be responsible for:
+ Mechanical and electrical/electronic assembly (incl. soldering and crimping) of instruments and accessories to approved specifications
+ Calibration and test of instruments
+ Installation and alignment of optics - e.g.) lenses, mirrors and prisms
+ Interpretation of technical documentation - e.g.) Bills of Materials (BoM), schematic drawings, assembly drawings, 3D models, etc.
+ Measurement and recording of instrument performance data
+ Use of MRP/ERP system
+ Contribute to the company quality and continuous improvement goals
Experience:
As Assembly Technician you will have experience of:
+ HND / HNC Qualified or equivalent in Electromechanical Engineering or other relevant discipline
+ Strong experience working in an Assembly Technician role
+ Experience working with Optics and Beams
+ Crimping and soldering skills are advantageous
+ Able to read and interpret BoM's and technical drawings
+ You will have an eye for detail and take pride in the quality of your work
