Job Description

The Electronics Upgrade Liaison Manager will be responsible for direct liaison with several port authorities for access to their sites for engineering teams engaged in the electronics upgrade of portals. This role will be accountable to the Delivery Manager for the duration of the upgrade programme and as required provide additional support to the programme liaison team as required.

You will be part of an Integrated Project Team (IPT) within a wider IPT with the Customer and those delivering the engineering upgrade. Upgrade team will be dispersed across the UK; however, you will have a "home site" near to Salisbury. This is a contract opportunity of 6 to 9 months with an expected start date of May 2022.

Key Responsibility Areas

Responsible for tracking and reporting key aspects of the programme by working closely with the teams to:

  • Establish and maintain working and pragmatic relationships with Port and BF stakeholders

  • Co-ordinate port engagement activities and ensure all mandated documentation and permits are drafted, presented and maintained in good time

  • Ensure that we remain compliant with all local site rules and processes and maintain systems to ensure Staff / 3rd parties acting on behalf of us are suitably trained and competent for working on Customer Sites

  • Manage any escalations and help to prioritise and co-ordinate the response to access issues that preclude normal support activities

  • Collaborate closely with wider functions to ensure we continue to meet our customer's SLA and performance requirements

  • Adhoc requests from the Cyclamen business

Skills, Qualifications & Knowledge Required

  • Experienced people manager

  • Proficient MS Office and MS Project skills

  • Working knowledge of the Home Office or other Government departments

  • Working knowledge of the construction industry and CDM regulations

  • Extremely competent communicator at all levels within the business
