We have a fantastic new opportunity for an experienced Senior Systems Engineer specialising in MacOS to join our clients EUC Enterprise Engineering team, you will be a key part of the team tasked with improving the end user experience for Apple devices within Elsevier.

The primary objective of this role is to ensure that our users are working as effectively and as efficiently as possible, by continually improving our service offering and bringing thought leadership on how we can innovate to make our Mac support a best in class service. This requires a self-motivated individual with a background in Enterprise engineering. This is a hands-on technical role supporting, managing and constantly improving a varied estate of the latest end user technology.

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting to a Systems Engineering Lead, you will join a team of expert engineers and execute against a global strategy to deliver a flexible and dynamic workplace experience, enabling our people to access services from any device, anywhere.

Act as the Subject Matter Expert on MacOS, iOS, and Apple technologies

Maintain and evolve Mac management (JAMF Cloud)

Review and recommend solutions to meet business requirements

Ensure interoperability between all solutions to give a seamless user experience

Assist with migration and integration activities in support of mergers and acquisitions

Work across a wide range of services including collaboration, systems management, directory services and identity management platforms

Continual service improvement projects

If you have the following Technical Skills and Knowledge we'd like to hear from you:

Jamf Pro - including system design, implementation and management

Expert knowledge of macOS, iOS & Windows 10 management and deployment

Expert knowledge of scripting (AppleScript, Shell, Bash, PowerShell etc) for automation

Demonstrable experience in software packaging and deployment

Knowledge of MDM technologies, preferably supporting Jamf running alongside Intune

Knowledgeable in supporting Microsoft Office 365 and Azure Conditional Access

Strong organization/project planning, time management and change management skills

Strong problem-solving experience to effectively troubleshoot/diagnose complex issues

Strong communication (verbal and written) and customer service skills. Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills applicable to a wide audience
