Responsibilities:
Utilising MRP tools to develop Inventory dashboards for Business Streams which includes Inventory Turns and levels (gross) for Raw Material, WIP and Finished Goods (ensuring the data is always 'live' and available)
Develop manufacturing material flows in conjunction with Manufacturing Managers and Project Teams
Assist with determining material flow methodology (i.e. Kitting, KanBan) and determining buffer stocks if necessary.
Constantly monitor lineside stock levels, removing excess stock on a regular basis. Evaluate what is causing any excess stock, determine root causes with Supply Chain and develop actions for improvement.
Mastering the material flow process through the factory and becoming an expert on the associated SAP transactions.
Managing and monitoring of the PI (Perpetual Inventory) stock counting process and coaching the Cell Leaders and Operators on best practice
In conjunction with Supply Chain and Procurement, reduce and/or optimise lot sizes, assist to remove leadtime buffers and implement alternative best supply chain practice (such as JIT) on key components and raw materials.
Evaluate the finished goods planning strategy with key internal account holders such as the Business Unit and Supply Chain to ensure the optimum flow of production
Set periodic reviews for planning and logistics master data that impacts material demand and consumption, such as EOQ & ROP, backflushing data, bulk materials, and hold regular reviews with Supply Chain and Procurement to ensure the data is current.
Monitoring SAP activity to ensure the system is up-to-date and cleansed of any obscure processes/information
Qualifications:
Extensive experience in best practice Material Management with proven track record
Experience of operating in a manufacturing organisation (ideally engineering) in a complex and international context
Continuous improvement and process-oriented quality mindset
Used to working for deadlines and able to prioritise workload under pressure
Advanced understanding and knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (SAP or equivalent)
Good working knowledge of MS office products (Excel advanced user, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word)
