Network Engineer

A Network Engineer with a strong background in WAN Environments is required to join a Global Aerospace company to support their globally distributed network used by aviation customers around the world.

You will be responsible for supporting the networking needs of customers across the EUMEA region.

Role: Network Engineer

As Network Engineer you will be responsible for:

+ Managing multiple projects from start to finish
+ Directly interfacing with customers
+ Ordering and activating WAN circuits; troubleshooting if necessary
+ Configuring equipment according to set design
+ Creating cutover/migration plans for major activities
+ Schedule and perform cutovers with customers
+ Providing pre-sales support for multiple business units; primarily supporting the EMEA region
+ Provide rotational Tier 4 on call support for the Operations Centre

As Network Engineer you will have experience of:

+ Degree qualified or equivalent in a relevant technical discipline
+ Cisco Certified Network Associate CCNA / CCNP / CCNA Security a plus
+ Extensive experience working in a large scale Wide Area Network (WAN) environment
+ Proficient with Cisco routers and switches
+ Strong knowledge of common network routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF
+ Experience with WAN technologies and protocols such as T1/E1, Frame-Relay, HDLC, DSL, Cellular, MPLS, and DMVPN
+ Ability to travel domestically and internationally to regional Data Centres or customer locations
+ Experience working in a Service Provider environment
+ Experience with Amazon Web Services Direct Connect (DX) and/or other Cloud Services equivalent
