The Company

A distributor of class 1 and class 2 medical devices, with a large current focus on research and development projects (R&D) and new product development (NPD). This organisation is organically growing and with a relatively new NPD department, can offer extensive potential for career progression, increased earning potential and additional responsibility as the NPD division grows.

The role

As the Project Assistant, your role will be to support and work closely with the Head of NPD in managing product introductions (NPI) from idea conception through to market introduction.

The independant management of 6-10 low value projects at one time over 6-9 months.

Day to day you will manage and deal with multiple stakeholders, both internal and external including customer research teams, sales, third party manufactures, regulatory and quality teams, marketing and clinical trials professionals.

Whilst overseeing various projects simultaneously, at differing stages of the life cycle, the role will involve travel throughout the UK and Ireland to visit third party manufacturer sites, customer and clinical trial sites, the office HQ etc.

As part of a new NPD department, this position comes with progression and career development opportunities.

Location

This role will be hybrid working (3 days in office and 2 days from home) with regular travel throughout the UK and Ireland. The UK head office is in Gloucester and so you must be willing to travel here regularly each month.

What experience is required?

  • Project Management experience or experience in a relatable role e.g. where you have managed various projects and stakeholders simultaneously

  • Ideally worked in a medical/clinical environment

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent relationship building skills

  • Confident, proactive and organised.

  • Driving licence
