Project Planner - Edinburgh

Salary: £25000 - £45000 per annum

Project Planner

An international leading Aerospace and Defence organisation have an opportunity for Project Planners at varying levels to provide a professional project planning service to one or more projects at varying phases of the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities -

+ Working closely with Work Package Managers and Project Managers to produce fully resourced multi-level project plans

+ Maintaining the accuracy of project plans, ensuring that they reflect the project objectives, are updated in a timely manner and are communicated to all IPT members.

+ Analysis and reporting of project schedule and costs

+ Generation of project performance measures e.g. earned value, critical path analysis and forward load

+ Interface with other relevant business functions (i.e. Procurement, Supply Chain) as required to support the planning process

+ Maintenance of risk management information (as required), ensuring labour and material contingencies are correctly apportioned

+ Effective resource planning and analysis

Skills and knowledge required -

+ Has knowledge of project planning techniques including Earned Value Management, Critical Path Analysis and Network Planning

+ Familiarity with planning methodologies and toolsets

+ The ability to work effectively as part of a team, demonstration strong communication and negotiation skills.

+ Demonstrated experience using project performance measures eg EVM, and CPA to influence project decisions.
