A global electronics manufacturing organisation specialising in design across a variety of markets including medical, aerospace, security and power are seeking a Quality Engineer
to ensure the quality and safety of products and processes through the application of the Quality Systems and activities to meet the Technical and site objectives.
Responsibilities - Quality Engineer
Coordinating quality investigations for the build quality issues.
Identify Root Cause, implement Corrective action and Preventive action required using 8D process.
Carry out data analysis on internal rejects using DPMO database for continuous improvement activities.
Develop and maintain the process of First time pass rate for production cells.
Supervision of the quality inspectors and professional development of the quality inspection team.
Preparing customer PPAP and FAIR reports.
Supporting non-conforming product process, including MRB process.
Assisting in maintaining ISO9001, and ISO 13485 QMS and ISO 14001 EMS systems.
Participate in external audits such as Customer audits and 3rd party external audits.
Carrying internal audits as per QMS and EMS systems.
Liaising with Operatives, Productions Engineers, Department Managers, Sales, and Purchasing to overcome problems.
Define, develop & conduct quality assurance activity related to new product introduction. (NPI)
Complete Risk Assessments.
Skills and Qualifications - Quality Engineer
Experience in manufacturing within Quality department.
Experience with administering an ISO9001 QMS
Experienced in problem solving methods like 8D, fishbone, 5Whys, etc.
Practical experience of PFMEA, Process Maps and Quality Control Plans.
Experience in PPAP and FAIRs.
Internal ISO 9001 auditor
Ability to build good inter-personal relationships
A suitable college-level qualification (A-level, BTEC, C&G, NVQ etc.) in a relevant subject.
Preferred
Electronics-based qualifications or experience.
Bachelor degree in Electronics / Electrical engineering.
Knowledge of macros/VBA scripting in MS Office environment.
Six-sigma green belt
