Role Profile

Following the deployment of the SAP suite across Digital Imaging group in the areas of CRM, HR and ERP, an exciting opportunity is available for a talented team player to join a global SAP team in a technical support and development role.

The successful candidate would operate as part of a team spanning and supporting a globally deployed SAP solution, with colleagues spanning Europe and North America. SAP is a core ERP platform and one which is growing in terms of footprint, as such there is a need to expand the technical support team to meet this growth.

This is a hands-on role and a chance for someone to further their knowledge in the SAP environment. We are looking for a technical person with existing SAP experience, ideally the HANA suite, that is willing to pick up other non-technical responsibilities as well as work on the resolution of support requests. UK SC clearance is a must for this role.

The primary location for this role is Chelmsford, with some opportunity for travel to support both day-to-day and project activities. This is a role which provides plenty of opportunity to learn and develop, so whilst the skills required are broad, we welcome candidates to apply if missing some of the skills are missing as we would put in place development to close any gaps.

The role will report into our SAP Systems Director and will be offer opportunity to develop skill base to provide cover for management in periods of absence.

Required Skills;

  • Working with the basis team: Basis Administrator Duties (Monitoring, transports, patches, security, HANA DB, printers etc….). This would be across several systems, S4, ECC, BW4Hana, SAP Payroll, CPI etc….

  • Windows / Database Patching for the SAP servers

  • Job Role Setup, Tiles & Assignment to users

  • Administrating and troubleshooting issues with third party products used with in SAP. This would include business objects, profile tailor as well as several others.

  • Assist with client-side software installs when required

  • Work with External Support providers to co-ordinate issue resolution

  • Ability to monitor support calls and pro-actively prioritise them to work on.

  • Assist with Internal and External audit queries.

  • Provide support and expertise for continued deployment of SAP S/4 as part of an ongoing consolidation of legacy ERP platforms

Desirable Skills;

  • Any SAP Functional knowledge

  • CDS Views / ABAP or SQL Knowledge

  • Ability to document user's issues and pass to the correct team for more analysis if needed.

  • Any reporting tools
