Senior Environmental Test Engineer

Luton

A global leader within the aerospace and defence industry are looking to recruit a Senior Environmental Test Engineer to assist with the design, development, and testing of products to ensure that they will survive and operate correctly.

Key accountabilities - Senior Environmental Test Engineer

+ To prepare and perform ENV/EMC tests against written specifications, instructions and in accordance with the Environmental Engineering Group Procedures.

+ To liaise with and advise other engineers when necessary to ensure testing is performed as efficiently as possible.

+ To keep a weekly record of test facility usage and submit it to the Team Leader for approval.

+ To keep the test facility and equipment safe and in a state of tidiness and commensurate with its function.

+ To report test facility and equipment faults to the Team Leader for action.

Skills and knowledge required - Senior Environmental Test Engineer

+ Preferably an Engineering Degree.

+ Knowledge and experience of using EMC/Environmental Standards, mainly.

+ Confident and persuasive in technical discussions, able to represent the EEG team during meetings in order to discuss any aspects of proposed testing, test results, test failures, design changes etc.

+ Working Knowledge of EMC32-EB and EMC32-S software.

+ Working Knowledge of LDS Vibrations systems with LMS software.

+ Working Knowledge of climatic chambers and SPECVIEW software.

+ Able to perform both Environmental and EMC testing, record tests in accordance with documented (EEG) Procedures.
