Senior Infrastructure Architect x 3

Location: Remote, 1 day per week in London

Duration: 6 Months initially

Clearance: SC Clearance

IR35 Determination: Inside IR35

Rate: £625 - £675 per day

Senior Infrastructure Architect: You will join a high performing team in a role that bridges the gap between the Solution Architect, development team, business team and project management. Specifically you will provide specialist skills to lead and co-ordinate the activities and resources for the infrastructure architecture domain to enable stakeholders to leverage best value from IT investments.

In this role you will:

  • provide assurance to the Technical Design Authority and the programme management team that solutions are fit for purpose, meet requirements for Statutory, Regulatory and Contractual compliance, and are aligned with corporate best practice as well as relevant Solution, Reference and Target architectures.

  • Providing assurance of fulfilment of non-functional requirements is a specific responsibility of this role.

  • Provide leadership on infrastructure solutions definition as directed by the TDA including working with solution partners and subcontractors and documenting designs for delivery.

  • Support activities of the wider architecture function working across projects and programmes to ensure consistent application of best practice in infrastructure, application, security and data architecture.

Primarily the account uses the following technologies

  • Windows server - various versions;

  • SQL Server - various versions;

  • Linux - various versions but this makes up a very small proportion of the account, primarily Red Hat Linux although any experience can be useful;

  • Oracle - various versions but this makes up a very small proportion of the account, primarily Red Hat Linux although any experience can be useful;

  • VMware Hypervisor;

  • Primarily Dell server hardware;

  • Primarily Hitachi storage;

  • On the networks side primarily Cisco, however there are various other network and security devices from other vendors, this is typically less critical as there are network architects on the account but understanding network ports / protocols / flows is a very useful skill to have;

  • Exchange;

  • Citrix.
