Service Engineer
South West UK
Up to £41,000 available - experience depending.
Who would I be working for?
The successful applicant would become the Service Engineer for a manufacturer and global supplier of biomedical sterilising equipment.
What does the role entail?
As a Service Engineer, you will be responsible for onsite servicing, testing as well as reactive and preventative maintenance in response to failures and breakdowns of autoclaves and washer disinfectors.
The successful Service Engineer will provide first class service to our customers in a professional and efficient manor, with a "first time fix" mindset to methodically fault find and repair. You will be working 40 hours per week door to door, typically 8:30 - 17:00.
The Service Engineer should be living around Swindon, Bath, Cheltenham, and Gloucester as this is central to the area you will be covering. Predominantly your territory will be between Cardiff to Yeovil, to Southampton up to Birmingham. There is a possibility that you would be required to travel outside of the designated area, in this instance you can stay in a hotel in the relevant area covered by the company.
This role would be best suited to Service Engineers with previous sterilising equipment experience along with testing qualifications. However, any Service Engineer with experience in other fields such as white goods appliances, boilers, water purification systems etc will also be considered as long as you are looking for a long-term commitment and are willing receive continuous training to achieve the required skill set.

What experience is needed to apply?
- Experience in the maintenance and repair of autoclaves or washers ideally, or transferable skills from a related field (e.g. white goods, boilers, RO systems, water filtration, maintenance engineering within a hospital or SSD department etc.)
- Electrical/ mechanical experience
- Understanding of technical drawings
- Experience in a field-based role
- Drivers licence
