A specialist manufacturer of medical profiling beds are seeking a Service Technician to join their expanding team in the Leicester area.

As the Driver / Service Technician your role will be to deliver and collect products between the bed stores in hospitals to the Leicester decontamination centre. You will also be required to decontaminate, function test, electrical safety test and repair products. Training will be provided.

You will be required to report to the service tcentrein Leicester each day and from there either drive (a long wheel based van) to customer sites to collect/deliver products, or to be based at the service centre carrying out the above outlined technical tasks.

Working hours are 8.30am - 5pm, Mon-Fri with 1 hr lunch.

You will be required to take part in an out of hours on call rota 1 in 5 weeks for which you are paid a retainer of £170/week plus time and half for any call outs attended.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver timely and appropriate service to customers

• Keep inventory of products and spare parts

• To ensure completion of product modifications locally

• Commit to compliance with quality processes, both internal and external

• Availability for on-call rotations 24 hours x 7 days

• Deliver and install clean and ready for use products to customers

• Clean, test, and repair products and make ready for use

• Complete & record electrical safety testing carried out on products

• Perform PPM and MOD's as directed and record accurately.

• Provide demonstration and basic training to caregivers

• Order spare parts, single-use goods and management of samples

• Take good care of company tools and test equipment

• To complete daily/ weekly activity reports

• Actively participate in training, ensure that you seek clarity where unsure.

• To update relevant IT systems

Requirements:

• Prior experience in a field based or driving role

• Prior customer facing experience

• Some technical experience either professionally or as a hobby/interest

• UK driving licence

• Able to pass a DBS check (criminal records check)
