SOM shall provide multiple capabilities including Services Desk, Configuration Management, Monitoring & Event Management, Automation, Security Information & Event Management, Knowledge & Analytics as part of its scope.
Role & Responsibilities
We are looking for a cross functional Service Now SME that can support the team in the delivery of the following
Deliver Discovery design using Discovery in ServiceNow for Oss across the estate. This will include Testing within our test environments and promotion through to live. Along with this you will be expected to aid the onboarding team and work with multiple internal teams to understand and document the policies and processes that will define the service component.
Event Management - Working with the existing team you will be an SME that is used to not only configure and aid in testing of the solution but also relied on as an SME to ensure best practice is being adopted as part of the delivery.
Configuration of ITSM Tooling to support Release Management and Planned Maintenance existing designs. Supporting Testing, Assurance and deployment through to live environments
CMDB - Working with the existing design for CMDB you will support the project by documenting the current solution to gain acceptance as well as training the new organisation unit
Proven experience of implementing Event Management solution sets in enterprise environments.
Proven experience of implementing Discovery and working with ServiceNow ITOM tooling in enterprise environments.
Ability to work collaboratively across multiple disparate teams including Service Groups, whilst also being to work autonomously as necessary.
Proven experience of design and implementation of service-aware event management tools, using CMDB integration, service models and Service Impact Analysis.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Hands on design, build and configuration experience in ServiceNow ServiceWatch/ITOM
Experienced in managing configuration of rulesets for thresholds, events, alerts and notifications, optimising the environment to avoid overloading operations.
Demonstrates self-motivation and initiative.
Attention to detail.
Skills Nice to have
Experience of working with the ITIL framework
Ideally certified in the relevant ServiceNow capabilities (Event\ITOM, Config Management, ITOM)
