Job Description

We are looking for a Solutions Architect to join our Cyber Security Team based in Bristol. You will be working in a dynamic environment with a team that is motivated to deliver innovative solutions to customers within defence, government and commercial sectors.

You will be designing solutions for a variety of complex system needs including defence systems, multi-national enterprises and critical national infrastructure. You will be working with a broad range of technologies across the stack including cloud, data analytics, advanced security analytics, security information and event monitoring, digital forensics, and middleware software systems that enable agile development and integration of systems for on premise and cloud-based solutions.

Key responsibilities will include

• Support growth of a data analytics Product, and associated people and capabilities.

• Stakeholder engagement including customers, programme managers, business leaders, developers and implementers, safety, security & other subject matter experts

• Develop concepts, review, elicit & derive requirements

• Define architectural designs & technology solutions in support of bids or project delivery

• Ensure the design integrity of solutions throughout development through the provision of supervision & guidance to development teams

• Informing stakeholders about any problems with the technical solutions being implemented, assisting with the resolution of technical problems as they arise & proposing change where necessary

• Researching current & emerging technologies to influence the strategic direction of our product & solutions development

• Collaborating within the Architecture Team to enhance & build the technical capability of the business

Required Skills

• Data analytics approaches and tools

• Cloud services

• Software / Application development including Agile and DevOps approaches

• Cyber capability definition and assessment

• Knowledge of architecture frameworks (e.g. TOGAF, NAF, SABSA)

• Knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering, utilising UML & SysML tools

• Knowledge of security standards, processes and application of security enforcing measures

• Broad knowledge of Cyber tools such as NIPS, FPC, vulnerability assessment, computer forensics, SIEM, etc.

• Broad knowledge of Microsoft Platform technologies

• Broad knowledge of Virtualisation Platforms, storage technologies and enterprise server platforms

• Enterprise Networking & Services (TCP/IP Networks, devices & services (e.g. DHCP/DNS)

• Security of Operational Technology systems
