Supplier Quality Engineer

You will be working as a Supplier Quality Engineer for a company that specialises in manufacturing high quality precision components for harsh and demanding environments. The company's products are developed using an application-focussed approach to create world-class, performance engineered solutions at the forefront of technology.

Purpose of the role:

You will be required to support the Goods-In Inspectors. FAIRS Conducted accordingly as per customer requirement. Manage customer / supplier returns and complete follow up reports. You will also be required to manage and maintain supplier database, whilst managing the calibration of equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Carry out supplier evaluation, performance measurement and re-evaluation activities (including occasional supplier visits)

• Improve Martec's supplier approval and development process

• Improving, promoting and enforcing internally, Martec's supplier quality management processes.

• Managing and performing Goods-In inspection activities, including monitoring and controlling ship to stock practices.

• Conducting First Article Inspections and creating customer FAIRs based on AS9102

• Managing Martec's calibration system. Ensuring that all items are calibrated in a timely manner, to the correct standards and using external calibration providers as appropriate.

• Support the Lead Quality Engineer to produce and present periodical KPI reports based on set parameters about the supplier quality performance.

• Participate in cross-functional teams in the development of new products or changes related to current products in meeting customer requirements
