This role will give you the best of all worlds - residential care, work in education and term time work only.

This is a specialist school for children with speech and language problems. Going home on the weekends, you'll be working there during the week whilst they live and go to school there. You will also have the summer and christmas holidays off. Totalling in 13 weeks of the year as annual leave. As a Residential Care Worker, you'll be helping with things like making dinner, making sure they live as safely as possible and homework. The children are very independant, so personal care is not needed.

  • Circa £21,000 PA - this will be depending on your experience

  • £75 per sleep in - you will be required to do 2 of these a month - then you can sign up for more for over time.

  • Circa £800 weighting allowance

  • 13 weeks annual leave

  • Experience working with children is essential
  • NVQ in Health & Social Care is desireable but not essential
  • Immediate starts are available

During the year the school has 5 non-teaching days, this means the Support Workers start 2 days before teachers at the beginning of the Autumn Term and finish 2 days after them at the end of the Summer Term. You also work one Saturday in the year which will normally be in May for the School Fete.

They also give you the opportunity to go to a beneficial event for yourself on one Saturday in the year - for example the SEN exhibition. There are no bank holidays that you need to work either.

This is a fantastic opportunity which will lead to career progression with the right individual. If this is of interest to you - apply direct! I'll give you a call to discuss in a bit more detail.

Please note, due to a high number of applicants, we will only be responding to those who are successful.
