Technical Lead
- Based in Hook with some travel to London
- 7 month initial contract

Role overview
Direction of design and team activities
Liaison with customer authorities regarding compliance to policies (primarily PKI Certificate and Interface Specification policy and input into completion of Certificate Practice Statement documentation).
Provide design input and guidance to team on PKI implementation details, liaising with other parties as appropriate
Review and approval of technical work products (CPS, HLD, Build Specifications, Test Specifications, Release Documentation etc)
Progression of the Design and transition for PKI components
Coordination of team members to cover multi-disciplinary roles, ensuring good communication with other SMEs needed to support the work, and environments provision of supporting capabilities
Support to the design and implementation of possible additional capabilities (e.g. new RA, offline root CA)
Follow rigid Engineering Delivery Lifecycle, and manage the team outputs through that lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Project Manager(s) and to the Chief Engineer, the Lead Engineer will coordinate team technical activities and provide technical leadership throughout the project. Day to day responsibilities could include:
Technical management of team members
Act as SPOC for the project with engineering and programme management
Prepare status reports, attend project meetings as required
Lead author for specific deliverables
Contribute to the design of further changes / opportunities
Essentials skills:
Technical leadership of small teams, ability to deliver quality work products on time and to budget.
Problem analysis and resolution
Technical report and design documentation writing
Installation, configuration and packaging of services
PKI experience working with MS CAs and various RA products, writing / reviewing CPS documentation, owning the design and implementation process
Installation and configuration of secure operating systems and Active Directory
Experience of working in and integrating products within a strictly clamped secure system environment
Experience of working to a formal engineering process (experience working with the DII engineering process would be an advantage)
Experience of working in a secure environment
Designing security lockdown for COTS products
Understanding of technical risk control
Ability to support project management
Broad experience of a range of COTS PKI products
Good understanding and proven track record of the following Technologies:
MS Certificate Services,
Registration Authority technology,
MS MIM-CM desirable,
other RA technologies also of interest
