Job Summary

The Verification Engineer is responsible for executing allocated Verification Work Packages within agreed cost, time and quality constraints.

The Verification Engineer is responsible for demonstrating that the developed product meets all specified legislative and customer requirements, by

* specifying and implementing the test solution

* improving efficiency of testing but implementing Automated Test solution where practicable

* performing in-house and/or external testing

* adequately documenting the tests and test results

Job Profile

The Senior Verification Engineer should ensure that a Verification and Validation strategy and plan is followed within their specialist area of expertise.

The primary focus of the job is Tactical - delivery of project funded Work Packages. In addition the job has a subsidiary element to contribute to Verification and Validation engineering process improvement in the job holder's specialised area of expertise.

Technical Challenge

Review and develop Test Scripts

Develop Test Traceability Matrix

Contributes across all relevant company projects to provide leadership in area of specialised expertise.

Needs to understand and devise intricate solutions to complex problems after lengthy and involved analysis

Needs sustained technical understanding of all issues required to manage verification and validation of complex equipment

Needs to identify, isolate and demonstrate failures in the product under test, and identify likely causes and possible solutions.

Skills/Experience Required

Minimum of 5 years professional experience

Experience of testing of infrastructure technologies:

• HP Server hardware

• VMware vSphere

• Microsoft Server technologies (Active Directory, DNS, WSUS, SQL Server clustering

• Microsoft Window 10

• Firewall appliances

• Backup and Restore systems

• Network Management systems

Ideal but not essential experience:

• Splunk services

• Cryptography systems

Writing test plans incorporating requirements

Writing Test Matrix

Writing test cases

Writing test reports

Good communication skills

Work as part of a team
