Trainee Electronics Repair Technician
£23,000 - £25,000 + benefits
Theale, Berkshire
A highly reputable, leading provider of medical engineering maintenance services are seeking a Trainee Electronics Repair Technician to be based at their HQ in Theale.
The role will be working on highly complex Magnetic Resonance Imaging technologies in the medical sector. You will be working in a laboratory environment as part of the electronics team who work with a wide variety of medical devices that comprise power supply units (PSU), RF power amplifiers (RFPA), RF coils for MRI and other peripheral electronic devices.
As the Trainee Electronics Repair Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out troubleshooting, repair work, soldering, testing and replacing components.
The main focus of this role is on MRI, but you will also get involved with other technologies such as X-ray, CT scanners, Ultrasound, endoscopes, and a wide variety of hospital ward medical equipment.
Please note that full training will be provided on the equipment.
Other key accountabilities include:
Complete quality assurance reports
Receive training on device troubleshooting and procedures.
Work as part of a bigger team of company operations (i.e. respond to customer enquiries, liaise with customer service, field engineers, warehouse etc.).
Always ensure compliance with ISO and medical device regulations as well as follow health and safety rules.
Report to the manager of repair operations.
Experience/Qualifications required:
HND/HNC/ONC or equivalent in electronics/electrical engineering (no practical experience should you have qualifications)
If you have no qualifications, you must have hands on practical experience carrying out repair work on electronics/electrical bias equipment
Excellent communication both written and verbal

£23,000 -£25,000
Paid overtime for pre-agreed work.
