Waking Night Support Worker

As a Waking Night Support Worker, you will work through the night from 9.30pm to 7.30am and support and ensure the safety of 4 children between the ages of 8 an 18 who have learning difficulties and minor challenging behaviours.
This is a brand new service and you will play an instrumental role in ensuring it adheres to OFSTED and Child Protection requirements, whilst supporting the children in all aspects of their care, this may include personal care and medication administration.
Ideally you will have experience as a support worker with either adults or children and be comfortable working alone during the night; albeit there will be a sleeping on-call staff.
Duties will include:
+ Supporting children should they wake during the night
+ reporting and recording of any children who wake in the night
+ Domestic duties in preparation for the day time
+ Administering medication should it be required
+ Maintaining and keeping up to date with any admin duties

+ Up to £10.54 per hour
