Webmethods Application Designer / Developer
Role Description
Technical design, development and delivery of messaging applications for Integration Applications.
Requirement for an experienced application designer/developer for development / enhancement of messaging services for the Enterprise Service Platform (ESP), using Software AG's Webmethods toolset. Additional skills of designer/developer using MuleSoft. Axway API Gateway knowledge also an advantage.
The ideal candidate will have application design and development experience, including design and development of interfaces between business applications based on XML standards.
Experience of Webmethods (Version 7 or later) is required. In exceptional circumstances a candidate with strong on-the-job learning ability and substantial design / development experience involving current integration technology may be considered.
The candidate should have a working knowledge of SQL. Java skills desirable.
To operate within the ESP Applications Team, to deliver technical designs and play a leading role in the development of integration services to meet overall solution requirements. The individual will also be required to undertake tactical development and support roles as and when required.

Main Responsibilities

Key Attributes
Experienced designer/developer with mature outlook able to work under pressure within a team environment
WebMethods design, development and support skills
Knowledge of XML, including DTD and XSD standards.
Comfortable with ambiguity and flexible to deal with wider aspects of a designer/developer role
Problem-solving ability
Ability to work to challenging project schedules and deliver robust solutions
Ability to conform to established standards and techniques
